In Xevious, you get right to the point from the first second. Once you have thrown a "Coin" into the slot machine, you will find yourself in a small and very dinky space plane. Armed to the teeth, you are to stop alien opponents with this flying unit. By pressing the X button, you hurtle small projectiles into the seemingly endless ranks of the opposition. These fire back in return, and obviously want to not let you defend your home planet to the extremes. You can use the arrow keys to dodge the deadly shots. But make sure to be as careful as possible. Due to the numerically superior opposition, it will be hard to keep track. In Xevious, you have three lives. Once you have forfeited all of your lives for humanity, this goes under unceremoniously! You find yourself flying low over some residential areas, which were portrayed rather well graphically, at least for that time. If you prove your ability as an outstanding fighter pilot in spite of all the challenges, you will be automatically transported to the heaven of the everlasting high scorers. No one will ever forget about you again. Always stay alert and watch out for oncoming projectiles. Your enemies are far superior to you with their technology! Good luck, soldier!
